Terms of service

Welcome to STARHIDE. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and the purchase of products from us.

By accessing our website, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

1. About Us

STARHIDE is an online retailer specialising in leather goods, wallets, purses, belts, bags, accessories and related products.

For questions regarding these Terms or your order, please contact us at:

Email: sales@starhide.co.uk

2. Using Our Website

You may use our website for lawful purposes only.

You must not misuse our website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, introduce malicious software, interfere with its operation, or use it for fraudulent or unlawful activities.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to our website where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

3. Products & Descriptions

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications, colours, sizes and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen or device. As leather is a natural material, some products may also have natural variations in colour, grain and texture.

These variations are not necessarily defects and can form part of the individual character of genuine leather products.

4. Prices

All prices are displayed in the currency shown on our website and will include applicable taxes where required.

Delivery charges, where applicable, will be shown during checkout before you complete your purchase.

We may change our prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.

If an obvious pricing or product information error occurs, we reserve the right to correct it. Where this affects an order already placed, we will contact you before proceeding where required.

5. Orders

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your basket.

Receiving an order confirmation does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • A product is unavailable.
  • Payment cannot be authorised.
  • Incorrect pricing or product information has been displayed.
  • We reasonably suspect fraudulent activity.
  • We are unable to deliver to the address provided.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, you will receive an appropriate refund.

6. Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Their own terms and privacy policies may also apply to the processing of your payment.

7. Delivery

We aim to dispatch and deliver orders within the estimated timeframes displayed on our website.

Delivery dates and times are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise. Delays can occasionally occur due to couriers, weather, customs, public holidays or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you believe your order has been lost, damaged or incorrectly delivered.

8. Returns & Cancellations

Your cancellation and return rights depend on applicable consumer law and the type of product purchased.

For eligible online purchases, UK consumers will normally have a legal right to cancel within 14 days after receiving the goods, subject to applicable exceptions.

Please refer to our Returns & Refund Policy for instructions and full details.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

9. Personalised & Custom-Made Products

Products that have been personalised, engraved, customised or made specifically to your requirements may not be eligible for cancellation or return simply because you have changed your mind.

This does not affect your rights where an item is faulty, damaged, not as described, or where we have made an error with the personalisation.

It is your responsibility to check all names, initials, dates, messages, photographs and other personalisation details carefully before submitting your order.

We will normally reproduce personalisation using the information supplied with your order.

10. Faulty or Damaged Products

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase.

If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact us with your order details and information about the problem.

Your statutory rights under UK consumer law are not affected by these Terms.

11. Promotions & Discount Codes

From time to time, we may offer promotional codes, discounts or special offers.

Promotions may have their own eligibility requirements, expiry dates and other conditions.

Unless otherwise stated, promotional codes cannot be exchanged for cash or applied retrospectively to completed orders.

We reserve the right to withdraw or amend promotions where reasonably necessary.

12. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content of our website — including branding, logos, photographs, graphics, text and website content — belongs to us or is used with permission from the relevant rights holder.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially exploit our website content without appropriate permission.

13. Customer Reviews & Submitted Content

If you submit a product review, photograph, comment or other content to our website, you must ensure that you have the right to provide that content and that it does not infringe another person's rights or contain unlawful, abusive or misleading material.

We may remove inappropriate content where reasonably necessary.

14. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.

Information about how we collect, use and protect personal information is available in our Privacy Policy and Your Privacy Choices pages.

Our website may also use cookies and similar technologies. Please refer to our cookie/privacy settings for further information.

15. Third-Party Services

Our website may use or provide access to third-party services, including payment providers, delivery companies and other technology providers.

We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that are outside our control, subject always to any responsibilities we have to you under applicable law.

16. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful for us to do so.

To the extent permitted by law, we will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or losses resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to our business, website, services or applicable legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on this page together with an updated revision date.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you may also have rights under the mandatory laws applicable where you live.
